How to get Expert Advisor log files

Step 1) Open the MT4 platform.

Step 2) Click on “File”, then click on “Open Data Folder”.

Step 3) Open the “MQL4” folder, then open the “Logs” folder.

Each log file is named with a different date.

How to share Expert Advisor log files

For each MT4 involved, send us the log file corresponding to the date wherein the potential error occurred.

Please specify which log file belongs to the Master EA and which belongs to the Slave EA by adding “MasterEA” or “SlaveEA” at the end of each log file name.

Put all files into a folder and name it “Expert Advisor log files”.

If the size of the folder is higher than 10 MB, zip it into a .zip archive before sending.

Do not absolutely modify any info of the Expert Advisor log files you are going to share with us.

How to get Terminal log files

Step 1) Open the MT4 platform.

Step 2) Click on “File”, then click on “Open Data Folder”.

Step 3: Open the “logs” folder.

Each log file is named with a different date.

How to share Terminal log files

For each MT4 involved, send us the log file corresponding to the date wherein the potential error occurred

Please specify which log file belongs to the Master EA and which belongs to the Slave EA by adding “MasterEA” or “SlaveEA” at the end of each log file name.

Put all files into a folder and name it “Terminal log files”.

If the size of the folder is higher than 10 MB, zip it into a .zip archive before sending.

Do not absolutely modify any info of the Terminal log files you are going to share with us.
